Pastor: Samuel Walker
The Walkers have lived on the Ridge for the past 9 years. Pastor Sam was ordained in 2007 as pastor of Harei Yeshua, a Messianic Jewish congregation on the Ridge. Though he continues to serve as pastor there, he was called to serve as Sr. Pastor of First Baptist Church Paradise in October of 2010. He is gifted in teaching and preaching and pastoring a local congregation. Pastor Sam and his wife Heather live in Paradise with their six children, all actively involved in ministry.
Youth & Music Director: William Jones
One of our elders, William Jones is both Youth and Music director for FBCP. William's wife, Babs works with our children on Wendesday evenings and Sunday mornings leading and directing children's ministry and musicals. The youth program is directed by William along with other volunteer staff on Wednesday evenings after the dinner and fellowship time and Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM. Among their service projects, the youth serve several times a year at the Jesus Center in Chico. Occasionally they join youth groups in other churches for worship and activities.
Cornerstone Christian School: Robin Tygart, Principal/Administrator
FBCParadise hosts Cornerstone Christian School (Grades K-6) which uses A Beka curriculum and offers a Christ-centered, Bible-based educational alternative to public school. Robin Tygart is the Principal and Lead Teacher. Robin and her husband, Paul are actively involved in ministries at FBCP.
